So I am always bad about putting work up here, so I have a back stock.  I haven't done much for me in a long time, and last semester was a real issue over what I want out of my art.  I have come to a conclusion on that.  Some of it is new, some of it is old, but basiclly I want to tell a story with my art, and I feel art is a means to an end, not an end itself.  As such I'm focusing more on other parts of my academics and stepping away from the art academia.  I'm not avoiding art, but taking a breather, I really feel I need to develop my storytelling before I can develop any further in my professional career.  I am also very aware that colleg

a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. we all know this line, but have you ever looked on those metaphorical stones of that road.  Decided where to venture from those stones to wilderness.  Thought about if you are on the right journey, and where exactly that journey started.  my journey started long ago, when i was young the path of the artist was before me, i have strayed off the road, but have chosen to return to it many times, this road is now a companion to me, the path i travel.  to make money and live off of making art is something i desire only that i can spend more time walking this road.  a thousand miles, a thous

I am an artist.  I am not a doctor or politician or scientist, though I could walk each of those paths easily, I could help you live longer, or better, or relieve suffering in the world and these are noble acts;  but when we reach the limit of the known, even as we push it back there is a limit to who we can save, who we can help.  It is here that art reaches, past the potential of life up until the doom of death, art still stands strong; it still inspires, it helps us never stop, it brings us joy and happiness and this great wondrous fulfillment has no limit, has no demand on the nature or stature of it's audience, it can bring these things
